Ok everyone normally I let my dogs speak for themselves but I'm speaking for Chaz and Vinny now. These two pups have been in my shelter for 9 months! They came in at 3 months and are now 1 yr. I won't lie they need work. They are friendly but extremely shy. They are ok with me but shy away from other people because I have no one that comes in to work with them to get them more socialized with people. They are not sure what a child is as they haven't been around them much so they are shy around kids to. They are good with all other dogs as far as I can tell as I've had them out with males and females and they have been ok. They like tennis balls and getting into the kiddie wading pools I have. They also like treats and chew toys. Vinny was actually in a foster home for a couple months where he did ok but the foster mom worked and was gone during the day so he was crated. He did get some housetraining and was doing ok with that so he does have some housetraining. He also liked to go for walks and go jogging with her. There were 4 other dogs in the home with him and he was fine with all of them. Chaz is the shyest one and needs the most work. He hasn't had the foster home advantage and to him the shelter is his home! I think once these dogs find their permanent homes it will be a turn around for them. They just need owners who have a lot of patience and time to spend with them. Someone who works from home or is home a lot would be perfect! Their sister did a complete turn around after she was adopted and she is very protective of her two young owners, but they spend a lot of time with her.
